Clinical Trials
Improve Care Today. Make a Difference Tomorrow.
Be a Part of the Cure.
Every day, each of us at The University of Kansas Cancer Center is working toward a world without cancer. Our objective is to break new ground in cancer care and research through promising scientific discoveries and treatments that ultimately lead to a cure.
To help us reach this goal, we have made earning National Cancer Institute designation a top priority. NCI-designated cancer centers are characterized by scientific excellence, which includes the latest clinical trials. Earning this designation allows us to offer our patients even more options – and more hope.
Part of our mission as an academic medical center is providing patients access to clinical trials. They are a key reason why patients choose to come to us for care and an important way we can continue to provide the most advanced cancer care treatment in the region.
Our aim is to increase participation in clinical trials, and to do that, we need your help. By understanding how clinical trials complement a patient’s comprehensive treatment plans, you can play an important role in educating them about the benefits of clinical trials.
Each of us must do our part to help patients understand that clinical trials may offer them access to promising therapies and will contribute to research that can improve car for future generations of cancer patients.
