Survivorship Routine Care

Survivorship Routine Care Clinics are an important part of the care offered at the center. At these appointments, we will:

  • Monitor patients for recurrent breast cancer or new primary cancers
  • Provide a physical examination
  • Work with patients on maintaining anti-hormonal therapy
  • Discuss treatment-related side effects of breast cancer including menopausal symptoms, bone health and hormone imbalance
  • Assess quality of life, including mood, sexuality, fatigue, lymphedema and weight management
  • Identify whether patients have risk factors for cardiac disease, referring them to our Cardio-Oncology Clinic, if needed
  • Discuss any fertility concerns and refer patients to our Fertility Preservation services if needed

To receive these services, you must be released from your treating oncologist. This means your doctor needs to tell you that you have completed treatment and are no longer under active surveillance.

Clinical Trials

Medical research finds ways to help people live longer, improve their quality of life and manage or cure disease. This is possible because of the people who volunteer to participate in clinical trials.
