Drug Discovery, Delivery & Experimental Therapeutics

Overview

The Drug Discovery, Delivery & Experimental Therapeutics (DDDET) Research Program represents the drug discovery, drug delivery, drug development and clinical translational research activities within The University of Kansas Cancer Center. Three strategies are employed to establish and advance drugs from the bench to the bedside:

  • Discover novel anticancer drugs active against novel drug targets.
  • Repurpose drugs. In other words, find new indications for currently marketed drugs.
  • Apply drug delivery platform technologies to improve the safety and/or efficacy of currently marketed anticancer agents.
