About Me
Danica May, MD, is a urologic oncologist who grew up in Oberlin, Kansas. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of Kansas in human biology. She then finished medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and urology residency at the Louisiana State University/Ochsner Health Systems in New Orleans. After finishing her fellowship in urologic oncology at the University of Kansas, she had the distinct privilege of joining her mentors on the faculty at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. May has had the benefit of excellent teachers and has developed a strong passion for educating medical students, residents and fellows. She is the student clerkship director. She specializes in the treatment of prostate, bladder, kidney, testicular and penile cancers. She performs open, endoscopic, laparoscopic and robotic surgeries.
