About Me
Dr. Danielle Cunningham is a radiation oncologist at the University of Kansas Health System and an assistant professor at the University of Kansas Medical School. She specializes in the management of pediatric cancers as well as adults with sarcomas and tumors of the brain and spine. She completed her training at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota where she received awards for clinical excellence, patient experience, and research. Dr. Cunningham’s passion is forming close relationships with her patients and their families. She enjoys working with the multi-disciplinary team and creating individualized treatment plans using state-of-the-art technologies.
Having experienced her own family members undergo cancer treatment, Dr. Cunningham is familiar with the many challenges that patients and their loved ones face on their cancer journey. Dr. Cunningham approaches every patient with care and compassion as she works to maximize quality of life and overall treatment outcomes.
Dr. Cunningham aims to provide high quality education to patients, families, residents, fellows, and medical students. She is motivated to move the field of radiation oncology forward for the betterment of her patients through clinical trials and other research efforts.
Outside of treating patients, Dr. Cunningham enjoys listening to audiobooks and podcasts, cooking, and spending time with family.
