About Me
Jill Hamilton-Reeves, PhD, RD, CSO, is a Professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center, board-certified oncology dietitian nutritionist, and nationally recognized leader in oncology nutrition research. She serves as founding Co-Director of the University of Kansas Cancer Center Nutrition Shared Resource and Lead Researcher for Patient and Investigator Voices Organizing Together (PIVOT), a patient-centered research partnership that helps incorporate patient perspectives into cancer research. Her research spans preclinical, clinical, and population science and focuses on nutrition, metabolism, obesity, and cachexia across the cancer continuum, with particular expertise in genitourinary cancers. Dr. Hamilton-Reeves has led investigator-initiated clinical trials evaluating immunonutrition in bladder cancer surgery and weight management interventions in prostate cancer, and her work has informed supportive cancer care, survivorship, and oncology nutrition practice. Through collaborative research, mentorship, and shared resource leadership, she supports investigators in integrating rigorous nutrition science into cancer research and patient care.
