Dr. Larson is a Breast Surgical Oncologist and Associate Professor of Surgery. Dr. Larson is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and has earned both FACS and FSSO designations. She is the current Program Director for the SSO-Approved Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship, Chair of the Surgery Research Committee, and immediate past President of the Kansas Chapter of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). Nationally she serves on the Selected Readings Committee for the American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBrS), Education Committee for CoC, and AJCC Education and Promotions Committee for ACS. Her practice is completely dedicated to breast surgery patients, particularly those with breast cancer or those who are at high risk for breast cancer. She has extensive training in advanced surgical techniques, including breast conservation, oncoplastic surgery, nipple- and skin-sparing mastectomy, advanced axillary surgical approaches, and uncommon breast malignancies (including malignant phyllodes, angiosarcoma, and male breast cancer). In addition, she has an interest in clinical research as well as clinical education.
