About Me
Dr Chamoun is the interim Chairman and the program director of the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Kansas.
He did his training at the American University of Beirut and at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Then he did a skull base fellowship at the University of Utah.
HE joined the faculty at the University of Kansas, Department of Neurosurgery in 2012. Ever since, he has been fully invested in patient care, education, research and administrative responsibilities.
His clinical practice is focused on complex cranial pathologies. This includes but not limited to:
- Brain tumors (such as brain metastasis, gliomas, GBM)
- Skull base pathologies and tumors (such as meningiomas, vestibular schwannomas, pituitary adenomas)
- Endoscopic brain surgeries (endoscopic endonasal skull base surgeries and endoscopic intraventricular surgeries)
- Vascular neurosurgery (brain aneurysms, AVM)
