In recognition of the upcoming Independence Day holiday, some of The University of Kansas Health System’s offices will have modified holiday hours. As July 4, 2026, falls on a Saturday, the health system will observe the holiday on Friday, July 3, 2026.
Independence Day holiday hours
The University of Kansas Cancer Center
- The University of Kansas Cancer Center will be closed for exam visits Friday, July 3, with these exceptions:
- Limited hours for scheduled BMT clinic and treatment at the Richard and Annette Bloch Cancer Care Pavilion in Westwood.
- Limited hours for scheduled treatments at the Richard and Annette Bloch Cancer Care Pavilion in Westwood.
- Radiation oncology sites will be closed Friday, July 3, unless emergency treatments are required.
- To reach an on-call physician, call 913-588-7750.
Doctor office hours
- All doctor offices will be closed Friday, July 3. Our staff will support routine scheduling needs and answer routine MyChart messages when normal business hours resume.
Outpatient imaging
- All outpatient imaging locations will be closed Friday, July 3.
Pharmacy hours
- Our retail pharmacy locations inside Bell Hospital Tower and Cambridge Tower A (on the 39th and Rainbow campus) will be open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4.
- Our Southlake Business Park location in Lenexa will be closed Friday, July 3.
- Our Westwood Campus and Indian Creek Campus locations will be closed Friday, July 3.
Urgent care hours
- Two health system urgent care locations will offer extended hours on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, to meet the needs of World Cup visitors and fans.
- Medical Pavilion, Kansas City, Kansas (July 3 and 4: 7 a.m.-midnight)
- T-Mobile Center, Kansas City, Missouri (July 3 and 4: 8:30 a.m.-midnight)
- Additional health system urgent care locations will be open on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4:
- KU MedWest, Shawnee, Kansas (July 3: 7 a.m.-9 p.m.; July 4: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.)
- Creekwood, Gladstone, Missouri (July 3 and 4: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.)
- St. Rose Medical Pavilion, Great Bend, Kansas (July 3 and 4: 9 a.m.-1 p.m.)
- Urgent care video visits (telehealth) (July 3: 7 a.m.-9 p.m.; July 4: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.)

Walk-in lab hours
- Our walk-in lab locations will be closed Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4.
Walk-in orthopedic care
- Our orthopedic walk-in care office at Indian Creek Campus will be closed both Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4. Our office at Olathe Medical Pavilion D will be closed Friday, July 3.
Great Bend, Kansas, locations
- All doctor offices in Great Bend will be closed Friday, July 3.
- Convenient Care Walk-In Clinic at St. Rose Medical Pavilion will be open 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4.
- No inpatient services will be affected by the holidays.
