Jeff Wright has been with The University of Kansas Hospital for 14 years, serving as director of Marketing, director of Public Relations and executive director of Cancer Services before being named to his current position.

Wright graduated from Ottawa University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and has 20 years of health care management experience. He received training as a respiratory therapist at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City and was a licensed respiratory care practitioner in Kansas.

He is the past president of Kansas City Healthcare Communicators Society, a former Board of Trustee with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and former co-manager of the Children’s Miracle Network operation in Kansas City in collaboration with Children’s Mercy Hospital of Kansas City. Wright participated on the Community Advisory Board for the Heartland Division of the American Cancer Society and was co-chair of the 2005 ACS Hope in the Heartland gala that generated $460,000 for the ACS.

Wright is an active member of the Association of Cancer Executives and currently serves on the membership services and vendor sponsorship committees.
