Jeff Reene

Jeffrey C. Reene has more than 30 years of growth company operating experience in the technology, healthcare and life sciences industries, having worked with publicly traded, venture backed and privately held businesses. Reene began his career with Accenture where he was an equity partner. He was then recruited as a top five executive to Cerner Corporation (NASDAQ: CERN), a global healthcare software company, building operations from 1991-1999. During his tenure, revenues grew from $50 million to $340 million, employees increased from 300 to 2,500, and the stock price increased 15 fold. From Cerner, Reene was recruited by a venture firm to a B2B ecommerce company and subsequently to GeoAccess, a privately held managed care software company. 

Since 2005, Reene has served as COO of The University of Kansas Cancer Center. Reene has served on a number of private and non-profit boards and is a former board chair of the Enterprise Center of Johnson County. In 2000, he received a Director’s Award for Entrepreneurial Achievement from the Kauffman Foundation and Ernst & Young LLP. Reene is an honors graduate of the University of Illinois where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Finance with High Distinction in 1976 and a Master’s degree in Business Administration in 1978.
