Lisa Serig, MBA, FACMPE

Director, Business Operations, The University of Kansas Cancer Center

Lisa Serig has been with The University of Kansas Cancer Center since 2012. She served as operations director for the community cancer program before being named to her current position. Serig has spent 20 years in healthcare management and operations and managed private practices for pulmonary and oncology physicians. 

Serig graduated from Graceland University with a bachelor’s degree in business and economics. She earned a master’s of business administration from Drake University, while starting her career in the health insurance industry. 

She is a member of the Medical Group Managers Association and is a Certified Medical Practice Executive and a Fellow with the American College of Medical Practice Executives. Serig is a past board member of the Greater Kansas City Medical Manager’s Association. She has served on the South Kansas City Chamber Board of Directors as well as the board for Cancer Action, a not for profit organization benefiting cancer patients.
