Quality of Life Counseling & Support

Cancer is associated with physical and emotional side effects that often require additional support. We understand the importance of addressing the psychosocial health needs of cancer patients and believe it’s an essential part of each patient’s cancer experience.

With experts in psychology, social work and patient navigation, we can assist you and your family through diagnosis, treatment and post-treatment care.

Why choose The University of Kansas Cancer Center’s unique survivor program?

Our Breast Cancer Survivorship Center is among the first of its kind in the country. After your diagnosis and treatment, we help you answer, "What's next?"

Care coordination
Survivorship is part of every stage of breast cancer care. We work closely with our breast care staff to coordinate follow-up care and treatment.

Clinical trials
Patients may have the opportunity to take part in our research about breast cancer survivors. These studies look at how lifestyle changes affect recovery.

Convenient for patients
Survivor programs are provided at the Richard and Annette Bloch Cancer Care Pavilion, conveniently located at Shawnee Mission Parkway and Belinder Road in Westwood, Kansas. The cancer care pavilion offers free garage parking for patients and visitors.
