Season 6 of “Bench to Bedside,” hosted by Roy Jensen, MD, vice chancellor and director of The University of Kansas Cancer Center, took listeners beyond the lab to explore the personal journeys of cancer researchers and clinicians. The season featured heartfelt conversations between colleagues who shared how they found their way into science, what keeps them going and the moments that mattered.

Listeners heard from researchers who grew up in small towns, changed career paths or balanced their work with caregiving. Some spoke about surviving cancer themselves, while others reflected on the patients who changed their perspective.

“This season reminded me that the path to science isn’t always straight,” Dr. Jensen says. “Our researchers have stories that will resonate with anyone who’s ever faced a challenge or taken an unexpected turn.”
